Grants awarded by the seventeen member Youth Advisory Council representing local High Schools, are selected to meet youth needs.  Recent grant awards are listed below. 



YAC members reviewTeacher Mini Grant proposals at a recent meeting

Muskegon County Schools - $10,000 to support the 2008-2009Teacher Mini Grant Program, which allows teachers to apply for grants up to $250 for classroom projects and programs.

Men and Women of Character- $3,500 to support summer programming at Muskegon Heights Middle School for youth ages 11-13

Muskegon County Department of Human Services- $5,000 to support the expansion of the Family Resource Centers to rural areas of Muskegon County

Catholic Charities West Michigan - $9,605 to support the Teen Parent Program

West Michigan Therapy - $7,500 to support the RISE Program at MTEC during the 2008/2009 school year
