Ann Marie VanTassel joins the Community Foundation for Muskegon County
As Vice President, Finance
Chris McGuigan, President of the Community Foundation for Muskegon County announced that Ann Marie VanTassel has joined the Community Foundation as the new Vice President for Finance effective May 2, 2005. Ms. VanTassel brings over twenty four (24) years of finance, accounting and administrative experience in the private and non-profit sector to this position. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Central Michigan University and a Masters of Business Administration degree from Grand Valley State University.
As Vice President for Finance, Ann will be responsible for managing the Foundation’s financial systems and administrative services to ensure the Foundation’s ability to achieve effective community philanthropy. She will be part of a team that will insure that all donor gift and grant transactions will be performed in an efficient and timely fashion that will allow donors to maximize the impact of their giving. Another focus for Ann will be working with Foundation committees to insure that a reasonable return on the Foundation’s assets is attained.
Ann and her husband Jim have two (2) teen-age children. Ann is very familiar with the Lakeshore having grown up in the Hart area.
Ann welcomes the opportunity to meet and work with the many people who use the Community Foundation to practice their active philanthropy. Ann believes the Community Foundation for Muskegon County offers a myriad of ways for individual, families and businesses to realize their very personalized and individualized desires for supporting the Lakeshore community.

The Community Foundation for Muskegon County was created in 1961 to improve the quality of life for Muskegon County residents. As a publicly-supported community endowment, the Foundation receives and manages contributions from community citizens and organizations who are committed to the future of Muskegon County.
