Affiliates

A Regional Pathway to Philanthropy

Michigan is blessed with a strong network of larger community foundations and smaller affiliate organizations that assure statewide coverage of Community Foundation services to every location in the state. Accordingly, the Community Foundation for Muskegon County provides regional philanthropy through its affiliates:

Manistee County Community Foundation
Community Foundation for Mason County
Community Foundation for Oceana County

Affiliate Community Foundations recognize local needs and build community endowments to support them. The Muskegon Foundation provides centralized financial management and administrative support for the affiliate units. Grants distributed by affiliates are awarded by a local Board of Directors to nonprofit organizations that understand and meet local needs. Affiliates provide an important opportunity for individual and corporate donors to build endowments and support community needs.
